Apprentice & Trainee Wage Subsidy

The Commonwealth Government has also announced a wage subsidy for apprentices and trainees in eligible employment (in a business employing less than 20-full time employees) of 50% of the employee’s wage paid during the 9 months from 1 January 2020 to 30 June 2020. Eligible employers will be reimbursed up to a maximum $21,000 per apprentice or trainee ($7,000 per qtr).

The subsidy will be accessible upon successful assessment undertaken by an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) provider.

To access the program, go online or contact you local Australian Apprenticeship Support Network provider. Final claims will be due for lodgement by 31 December 2020.
